Planning Phase:

"Mike built me a garage with workshop area and second story “Man Cave” several years ago in Rogers Park.
Best contractor I have ever worked with. He was very detail oriented, communicated well with me, listened to my concerns and ideas and took the time to explain. He was on time, on schedule and on budget. His estimates were clear and when we came up with change orders (don’t we all?) they were spelled out clearly and no hard feelings developed.
The quality of his work is impeccable. I had him put the building up, roughed in and the outside weather tight, but had to do some of the interior work later as I was paying out of pocket. Subsequent contractors (electrical, insulation, dry wall) praised the quality of his work. He worked well with the Muni getting permits and inspections. He seems to enjoy his work. "Cold River Construction is our preferred contractor with two major remodel projects since we moved into our “Fixer-upper” in 2001. Our recent kitchen upgrade was more than just a simple cupboard change. Cold River worked with us and a separate architectural engineer for study to determine load bearing structures so CRC could move a set of stairs, remove walls, replace window, move doors as well as coordinate sub-contractor efforts for sheet rock, painting, electrical and other essentials trades.
